Regional Championships: Competitive Integrity & Prizing

TL;DR

Riot updated Regional Championship prizing and competitive integrity rules ahead of the European event in Stuttgart. Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends now go to the top finishers by overall placing, while Best-Of prizes shift to Foil Plated Legends from Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance. The Top 8 from each Regional also earns an invite to the first World Championship Showcase in China at the end of January.

Key points

• Top 58 finishers draft the Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends in finishing order
• Best-Of prizes are now Foil Plated Legends from Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance; Origins, Proving Grounds and Spiritforged legends are ineligible
• Players still need Day 2 on that legend to qualify for a Best-Of Foil Plated Legend; Radiance versions ship later, expected January 2027
• New integrity rules: no throwing matches, no deciding drawn matches after time, and open decklists at Regionals
• Top 8 of Europe, North America and China Regionals are invited to the World Championship Showcase in China at the end of January 2027
