Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026

This policy explains what data the Riftr iOS app ("Riftr", "the app") handles, why, and what control you have over it.

1. Data you give us

  • Riot ID and region that you search for or save in the app. This is used to request public data from the Riot Games API and to remember your profile between sessions.
  • Email correspondence if you contact support. We keep it only as long as needed to handle your request.

2. Data from Riot Games

When you look up a player, the app requests publicly available information from the Riot Games API — for example Riftbound card data, deck and collection details, event or match results and game assets. This data belongs to Riot Games and is subject to their privacy policy and terms. We do not receive or store your Riot account credentials.

3. Diagnostics

The app may collect basic, non-identifying technical information such as crash reports, device model, OS version and anonymous usage counts, purely to fix bugs and improve stability. Apple may also share aggregate App Analytics with us if you have opted in on your device; that data is anonymised by Apple.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not ask for your Riot or Apple account password.
  • We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Storage and retention

Your saved profiles, preferences and cached game data are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes them. Any data we hold on a server is kept only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and diagnostics are retained in aggregate form.

6. Third parties

  • Riot Games, Inc. — source of all game data and assets.
  • Apple Inc. — distributes the app and handles purchases, downloads and (if enabled) crash reporting.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

7. Children

Riftr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Most data can be removed simply by deleting the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
